Jennifer Lopez thrives as a single woman after Ben Affleck divorce

Jennifer Lopez has indeed embraced life as a single woman, nearly a year after her divorce from Ben Affleck. The star, now focused on her career and family, has described this period as empowering and liberating.

Lopez and Affleck’s highly publicised reunion ended when she filed for divorce in August 2024, citing April 26 as their separation date. The split was finalised in early 2025, closing a chapter that had drawn widespread media attention.

Since then, Lopez has spoken openly about her journey. In an October 2024 interview with Interview magazine, she reflected on years of emotional challenges and the strength she found in independence. More recently, during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, she discussed past relationships and self-worth, admitting she prefers a traditional approach to romance. Dating apps, she said, are not for her. Sources close to the singer and actress told Us Weekly that being single has made her feel 'stronger alone' and free to make decisions without compromise. Now, her priorities are clear: raising her 17-year-old twins, Max and Emme, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and advancing her career. Friends describe her as happier and more confident than ever, comfortable in her own skin and in a positive headspace.

Lopez remains unmarried and is not currently dating. Her focus stays on her children, her work, and the contentment she has found in this new phase of life. The past year has marked a shift toward self-assurance and personal freedom.
