Jena's Football Club, FC Carl Zeiss, continues its buying spree!

FC Carl Zeiss Jena is bolstering its squad ahead of the new season with the strategic acquisition of striker Manassé Eshele from Hallescher FC. The 26-year-old striker, standing at 1.90 meters tall, is set to join forces with the Thuringia-based club after initially joining HFC in the winter to support their promotion aspirations.

After a successful half-year stint with Hallescher FC, during which he scored four goals, Eshele is now in advanced talks with Jena. Despite HFC's failure to secure a return to the 3rd league, it is likely that Eshele's contract with the club will not be extended. FCC is reportedly keen to capitalize on the situation and secure the services of the attacker, who brings valuable experience and a potent goal threat to the team with 127 Regionalliga games under his belt and 31 goals and 12 assists to his name.

Meanwhile, FCC's attack still faces some problem areas, as both Ted Tattermusch and Elias Löder are yet to decide on their contract extensions. Cemal Sezer is still working his way back, while Erik Weinhauer has already signed for FC Erzgebirge Aue. The departure of goalkeeper Alexios Dedidis, who spent 17 years with the club before joining league rival Hertha Zehlendorf, has also been confirmed.

FCC's pursuit of Eshele is part of the club's broader strategy to rebuild its squad and regain its competitive edge ahead of the new season. As the club continues to make strategic additions to its roster, expectations remain high for the upcoming season.

Eshele's contract with Hallescher FC is unlikely to be extended, and he is in advanced talks with FC Carl Zeiss Jena. This potential acquisition of the 127-game Regionalliga veteran, who has scored 31 goals and provided 12 assists, could address some problem areas in FCC's attack due to uncertainty surrounding the contracts of Ted Tattermusch and Elias Löder.
