Jazzmobile Summerfest 2025 Brings Free Live Jazz to Harlem

Get ready for an exciting summer of jazz in Harlem as the Jazzmobile Summerfest returns for its 60th year. This year's lineup features free live jazz performances on Wednesdays at Grant’s Tomb (W 122nd St & Riverside Drive) and Fridays at Marcus Garvey Park’s Richard Rodgers Amphitheater (18 Mt Morris Park W).

Highlights of the 2025 Harlem Summerfest include:

  • August 9 (Saturday): The annual Great Jazz on the Great Hill concert in Central Park at 3:30 p.m., hosted by Lezlie Harrison. The event will feature trumpeters Josh Evans and Wallace Roney Jr., The George Gee Swing Orchestra, and a full dance floor for swing[1].
  • August 15 (Thursday): Performance by Terri Lyne Carrington’s We Insist 2025 featuring Christie Dashiell at Marcus Garvey Park, in partnership with City Parks Foundation SummerStage[1][3][4].
  • August 22 (Thursday): Opening night of the Charlie Parker Festival at Marcus Garvey Park, featuring Ron Carter’s Great Big Band, vocalist April May Webb, and S.O.A.R.[1]
