Jazz Legends Kennedy Administration & Shayna Steele Headline 'Rīgas Ritmi' Festival

The 'Rīgas Ritmi' festival is set to kick off this July with a bang, as it welcomes renowned jazz acts from across the globe. The American jazz-funk band Kennedy Administration and singer Shayna Steele will headline the event, promising a spectacular show.

The festival, taking place at Riga's Dome Garden, will commence on July 3 with a performance by the resident band of the New York jazz cult club Blue Note, Kennedy Administration. The following day, July 4, will see Shayna Steele take to the stage. Steele, known for her powerful vocals, has starred in TV series like 'The Sopranos' and 'The Penguin', and her music has been featured in films such as 'Hairspray' and 'Sex and the City 2'.

Steele, who will start a European tour with her performance at the 'Rīgas Ritmi' festival, has collaborated with music legends like Moby, Rihanna, and Bette Midler. She will be singing Raimonds Pauls' melodies with lyrics in English written by Gordon Pogoda. The festival will also feature Senegalese singer Momi Maiga and the Riga Dome Choir School Gospel Choir.

In addition to the main performances, the festival will host concerts at the 'Rīgas Jazz Lounge' hotel 'Radisson Blu Latvija' and free master classes at the Latvian Radio 1 studio. Eli's Jazz Band, known for performing at notable venues such as Ronnie Scott's and the London Jazz Festival, is also scheduled to perform.
