Jazz and Blues Festival in Brasov resumes in August, offering various concerts, film screenings, and family-friendly activities throughout the metropolis
Brasov Jazz & Blues Festival 2022: A Multi-Stage Celebration of Jazz, Blues, Gospel, and Live Improvisation
The Brasov Jazz & Blues Festival is set to return for its 13th edition from August 14 to 17, transforming the city into a vibrant hub of music. This year, the festival will span across seven locations, offering a diverse range of concerts, community activities, and more.
The main blues stage will be set in Piată Sf. Ioan, where concert-goers can enjoy performances by international artists and some of Romania's finest musicians. Notable acts confirmed so far include Curtis Salgado, Sharrie Williams, Zac Harmon, Sari Schorr, and more. Please note that concerts at the main blues stage will require tickets or passes.
For those who prefer a more intimate setting, the JUNO Wine Garden will offer evening concerts, providing a unique blend of music and fine wine. Meanwhile, the Aftăr Garden will screen music documentaries, offering a deeper dive into the world of jazz and blues.
The community activities will take place in Cartier Coresi and Coresi Shopping Resort, where visitors can participate in interactive games, music workshops, and dance sessions.
Free-entry jazz concerts will be held in Piată Brassaï, organised in partnership with the Romanian Musicians' Union (UCIMR). Artists such as Francesca Tandoi, Rain Sultanov & Hikmat Baba-zada Duo, Berti Barbera & Sebastian Burneci, and other local acts are expected to perform.
Gospel singer Sharrie Williams will deliver a captivating performance at the fortified church in Bod on August 17. However, seating for this concert will be limited, so tickets are advisable.
