Paka Paka's New Programming: Libertarian Cartoons at the Center of Controversy
Maia Jastreblansky reports:
Private and public discussions on social media following Javier Milei's arrival at the Casa Rosada initiated speculation about the possibility of Goku, the Dragon Ball character, replacing Zamba, the iconic child from Clorinda (Formosa), on the state children's channel Paka Paka. The idea revolves around the idea that the manga series "transmits libertarian values."
If the administrative details for the relaunch of Paka Paka's content are finalized, the channel may feature a new culturally battle-themed programming, beginning in July. The Dragon Ball music and the image of the dragon sphere are used in the teaser for the relaunch, followed by the presentation of new contents: World Trigger, Mouk, Bobby and Bill, Ultrazombies and Tuttle Twins, a libertarian doctrine series that praises the figures of Adam Smith, Ludwig von Mises, and Milton Friedman, while criticizing Karl Marx. The authors of the cartoon recently developed a character based on Javier Milei, depicting him as a disgruntled adolescent during a Marxist-style takeover of his athletics competition.

Pro Party Proposes Dissolving children's channel Paka Paka amid Libertarian Cartoon Controversy
Amid the controversy sparked by the relaunch of the children's channel Paka Paka, featuring the incorporation of a series of "libertarian" animated cartoons, deputy Silvana Giudici from the Pro block and an ally of the government presented a resolution project on Wednesday to dissolve the television signal.
"I am consistent with what I have been preaching since the Kirchnerist times: there is no need for state-funded audiovisual content signals when there is Public Television. The Paka Paka signal should be dissolved to align with the adjustment and deregulation policy that the Government is carrying out," Giudici explained to our website.
