Jason Hart expresses his gratitude to his supporters as he achieves his 1,000th winning ride, preparing for an impressive Ebor week.
Jason Hart Reaches 1,000 Wins Milestone in British Racing
Jockey Jason Hart made history in August 2025, achieving a significant career milestone by riding his 1,000th winner in Britain aboard Rock Of England at Beverley. This remarkable achievement marks a high point in Hart's career as a jockey.
Hart's journey to success began with his time spent working with trainer Mark Johnston, where he developed a solid work ethic that has been instrumental in his progress. This foundation has served him well throughout his career, as he went on to build strong partnerships with trainers such as John and Sean Quinn, Declan Carroll, and Eric Alston.
One of Hart's most notable achievements was being crowned champion apprentice in 2013. With the Quinn brothers, he partnered the filly Highfield Princess to four Group One wins. Hart also rode Ridge Ranger to success in a Listed race and a Group Three race in 2016, thanks to support from trainer Eric Alston.
Highfield Princess, a horse Hart has ridden to four Group 1 wins, is noteworthy for her impressive performance in the Nunthorpe Stakes three years ago. Now, another horse under Hart's care, Jm Jungle, is set to compete in the prestigious Nunthorpe Stakes next week.
Meanwhile, Catching The Moon, trained by Richard Fahey, made a strong debut, winning impressively. Oisin Orr rode Catching The Moon to victory in the 5f fillies' novice contest.
In a separate event, apprentice Tommie Jakes spoke about his win on Lady Britain in the 7.5f nursery. Tim Easterby and Duran Fentiman had a 337-1 double with Rum Therapy in the 5f nursery and Sunny Orange in the 1.5m handicap.
