Japan's Nagomi Nakayama Wins Gold in Ladies Continental Cup Ski Jumping
The FIS Continental Cup for ladies in ski jumping took place in Hinterzarten, with 43 athletes from 12 nations competing. The event saw impressive performances from the Japanese contingent, with Nagomi Nakayama securing the gold medal.
Nagomi Nakayama from Japan dominated the competition, winning with a total score of 210.6 points. She achieved distances of 98.5 meters and 100.5 meters in the first and second rounds respectively. Sina Arnet of Switzerland claimed the silver medal with a total score of 206.4 points, after jumping 97 meters and 99 meters. Yu Saito, also from Japan, finished third with a total score of 206.2 points, jumping 96.5 meters and 99.5 meters. Pia Lilian Kübler was the best-placed German athlete, finishing 11th with a total score of 177.1 points.
The event in Hinterzarten showcased the talent and competitiveness in women's ski jumping. The top three finishers all hailed from Japan and Switzerland, with Germany's best result coming from Pia Lilian Kübler in 11th place.
