Japanese Singer Nobuo Yamada, known by the stage name NoB, passed away on August 9, 2025, at the age of 61 after a long battle with kidney cancer.
NoB was a renowned figure in the Japanese entertainment industry, best known as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Make-Up. The band gained fame for their iconic theme song "Pegasus Fantasy" for the original Saint Seiya anime series.
In addition to his work with Make-Up, NoB made significant contributions to the Japanese music industry by performing theme songs for the Super Sentai drama franchise. He was responsible for the theme songs of "GoGo Sentai Boukenger" in 2006 and "Tensou Sentai Goseiger" in 2010.
Despite his illness, NoB's passion for music never waned. However, he had to cancel some events due to health issues. Following his death, plans for a farewell gathering for fans were announced.
NoB was admitted to a hospital prior to his death, and his cause of death was confirmed to be kidney cancer. His agency, Mojost, announced his death on August 13.
