Jannik Sinner Dominates China Open, Claims Third 2025 Title

Jannik Sinner has claimed the China Open title, defeating Learner Tien 6-2, 6-2 in a dominant display. The Italian, who did not drop a set throughout the tournament, served 24 aces and won 73% of his net points in the final. This victory is Sinner's third title of the 2025 season and his 21st career tour-level title.

Sinner's impressive run in China sees him rise to World No. 2, closing the gap to Carlos Alcaraz in the ATP Live Race to Turin. This is Sinner's second China Open title, having previously won it in 2023.

Tien, who reached his first ATP final, played exceptionally well to reach this stage. He had earlier defeated top players like Daniil Medvedev and Lorenzo Musetti. Despite the loss, Tien's performance propels him to a career high of World No. 36.

With Alcaraz withdrawing from the Shanghai Masters, Sinner has a chance to retain his title there. Sinner's victory in China is a significant step towards securing a place in the ATP Finals in Turin.
