James Tolkan, legendary stage and screen actor, dies at 94

Veteran actor James Tolkan has died at the age of 94. His passing occurred on Thursday, March 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy spanning decades in film and theatre. Tolkan was best known for his roles on stage and screen, including the original cast of Glengarry Glen Ross. Born in 1931, Tolkan served in the US Navy during the Korean War. After his military service, he shifted to acting in the early 1960s. Over the next 25 years, he became a fixture in New York theatre, building a reputation for his stage performances.
