James Gunn accelerates the progress of the "Superman Saga" with a significant advancement
Get ready, DC Universe fans! The next exciting instalment in the Superman Saga is on its way, and it's shaping up to be a blockbuster.
According to recent revelations, the next chapter of the Superman Saga, titled simply "Superman", is set to hit theatres on July 11, 2025. This movie, directed by the renowned American filmmaker James Gunn, marks a reboot for the Man of Steel as part of Gunn’s new direction for the DC Universe.
The film stars David Corenswet as Superman, who made his solo cinematic debut in this new incarnation. After its theatrical run, the film is expected to arrive on HBO Max for streaming around late September 2025, estimated between September 19 and September 26.
James Gunn has already finished the treatment for this highly anticipated film and revealed that production will begin not too far from the current date. The project, which also includes Superman, has been the subject of much speculation, with Gunn confirming that it is likely the same one for which he has written a treatment.
Meanwhile, fans of the murderous anti-hero Peacemaker, played by John Cena, will be pleased to hear that Peacemaker season 2 is on its way. The second season of the popular series will be released on HBO Max on August 21, 2025.
In other DC news, the next appearance of Supergirl will be in cinemas next year, although this is not the next chapter of the Superman Saga, as previously mentioned. The ending of the latest Superman film teased an adventure with Milly Alcock's Supergirl, leaving fans excited for her upcoming cinematic outing.
With positive reviews already pouring in for the new Superman, it's clear that DC fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming months. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting projects!
