NFL Veteran Safety Darnell Savage Released by Jacksonville Jaguars
After a stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars, former Green Bay Packers safety Darnell Savage has found himself back on the free agent market, following the team's decision to release him on Tuesday.
Savage, who turns 28 this year, had an impressive career with the Packers before joining the Jaguars. Drafted with the 21st overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Savage made an immediate impact, earning a spot on the NFL All-Rookie Team in his first season.

However, his playing time was limited in the current season, as he played on 48 defensive snaps as a backup in two games, with no recorded tackles, passes defended, or interceptions.
Throughout his career, Savage has amassed 354 tackles, 38 passes defended, one sack, one touchdown, two fumble recoveries, and two forced fumbles in 87 regular-season games (82 starts). The Jaguars currently hold a record of 1-1 in the 2023 season.
