Jackie Chan's Project A and Project B Get Ultra HD Blu-ray Upgrade in 2026
Two classic Jackie Chan films, Project A and Project B, are set for an Ultra HD Blu-ray release on March 20, 2026. Publisher EYK Media will handle the launch, offering fans a chance to pre-order from March 13 at 6:00 PM. Both titles will arrive as premium triple-disc mediabooks packed with extras. The 1983 action-comedy Project A follows Jackie's crew of coast guards facing disbandment after a series of pirate raids. To save their unit, they team up with a determined police officer to take down the criminals. This release will include the Extended Taiwanese Cut for the first time, alongside the original version. Project B, released in 1987, sees Jackie uncovering a powerful crime syndicate while exposing a ring of corrupt officers. The Ultra HD Blu-ray will feature both the German theatrical cut and the extended edition, giving viewers more of the film's iconic stunts and fights. Each mediabook comes with a booklet, a standard Blu-ray disc, and a host of bonus materials. These include extended behind-the-scenes documentaries, deleted scenes with commentary, concept art galleries, and original storyboards. Fans will also find crew interviews from the 2025 production and digital downloads of the soundtracks. Audio options cover German and Cantonese in DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 and 5.1. For collectors, EYK Media is offering a limited slipcase edition of the Cover A variants, restricted to 500 copies per film. Pre-orders open on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 6:00 PM through the publisher's website and other online retailers. The March 2026 release marks the first time both films appear in Ultra HD Blu-ray format with such extensive extras. The limited slipcase editions and multiple versions of each movie provide fans with new ways to experience Jackie Chan's classic action. Pre-orders begin a week before the official launch.
