Jack White collaborates with Ringo Starr on The Beatles' "With A Little Help From My Friends" at Bourbon & Beyond concert
In a memorable moment at Bourbon & Beyond 2025, legendary drummer Ringo Starr and rock icon Jack White joined forces for an unforgettable 11-track set. The event, held on September 13, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky, saw Starr's 'All-Starr Band' come together with special guests to create a night of music that will long be remembered.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the performance of 'With A Little Help From My Friends', a classic hit from The Beatles' iconic album, 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'. Originally sung by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, Starr took the lead this time, with White lending his distinctive voice to the chorus.
White's appearance on stage was not a surprise, as he had previously collaborated with Starr at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, for Starr's TV special in January. The two musicians had also shared a stage in Mexico City last November, as part of Paul McCartney's Corona Capital performance.
The set list for the evening was a mix of covers and original tracks, with Starr paying tribute to some of his favourite bands. He covered Toto's 'Rosanna' and 'Hold The Line', Men At Work's 'Land Down Under', and Average White Band's 'Pick Up The Pieces'.
Jack White, who has been busy with his own music, released his latest solo album, 'No Name', last year and is scheduled for a 2025 UK and European tour. The musician has also been vocal about his admiration for other artists, recently praising Nine Inch Nails' current tour.
As the night drew to a close, Starr took a moment to thank everyone who joined him on stage, including members of Toto, Men At Work, and Average White Band. The performance was captured on video and can be found online for those who missed out on the event.
This collaboration between two musical legends was a testament to the power of music and the enduring appeal of The Beatles' timeless tunes. It was a night that brought together fans of all ages, united by the shared love of great music.
