"Jack Osbourne expresses heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging himself as one of few to address Ozzy as 'Dad,' in a touching social media tribute to his late father"
Jack Osbourne Honours Late Father Ozzy with Emotional Tribute
Jack Osbourne, the only son of the legendary rock star Ozzy Osbourne, has paid a heartfelt tribute to his father following his death on July 22, 2025. The tribute, titled "Some Memories of My Father", was shared on Jack's YouTube channel on August 6.
The video is a poignant montage of moments between Jack and Ozzy over the years, set to Ozzy’s solo song “So Tired.” Accompanying the video, Jack shared a written message expressing deep sadness and gratitude. He reflected on the 14,501 days he was blessed to have with his father, quoting Hunter S. Thompson to capture Ozzy’s life philosophy about living fully and boldly.
In addition to the YouTube tribute, Jack also shared a powerful message on Instagram around the same time, marking two weeks since Ozzy’s passing and further honoring his father's legacy.
Born on November 8, 1985, Jack became a media personality alongside his family, particularly through the hit reality TV series The Osbournes, which was broadcast on MTV from 2002 to 2005. After the show, Jack continued to host TV programs such as Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie and Ozzy & Jack's World Detour.
Jack made his first public post since his father's death last month, expressing both sadness at Ozzy's passing and gratitude for having him as a father. Jack, along with Sharon, Kelly, and his half-brother Louis, appeared in public during Ozzy's funeral procession in Birmingham on July 30.
Ozzy died at his home in Buckinghamshire at the age of 76 due to cardiac arrest, 17 days after his retirement concert with Black Sabbath co-founders. Jack's tribute serves as a poignant reminder of the bond between father and son, and the enduring legacy of the rock icon.
