JAC T9 Diesel Hits Russian Dealerships August 19, Packed with Features
JAC T9, the Chinese pickup truck, is set to hit Russian dealerships soon. The diesel version will be available from August 19, priced at 3.759 million rubles. The vehicles are already arriving at dealerships, assembled locally at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ).
The base configuration of the JAC T9 is packed with features. It includes six airbags, a 360-degree camera system, climate control, heated and power-adjustable seats, a multimedia system with CarPlay and Android Auto support, wireless charging, and cruise control. The truck is powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine producing 163 horsepower, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a full-time all-wheel-drive system. Notably, the JAC T9 is assembled on the same line as the Sollers ST9 model, expanding the range of commercial and utility vehicles produced in Russia.
This project also strengthens the localization of Chinese automotive production at Russian facilities. While no specific name is mentioned for coordinating this localization, the assembly of JAC T9 at UAZ is a significant step in this direction.
The JAC T9 diesel version will go on sale in Russia on August 19, offering a range of safety and convenience features. Its local assembly at UAZ not only expands the production range but also boosts the localization of Chinese automotive production in Russia.
