IWG Explores Kuwait's Artistic Heritage at Exclusive Dar Mariam Museum Visit

The International Women's Group - Kuwait (IWG) recently enjoyed an exclusive visit to Dar Mariam Museum, a testament to the late artist Sami Mohammad's legacy. The event, hosted by Mr. Mohammad himself, provided a glimpse into Kuwait's rich artistic heritage and cultural expression.

The Contemporary Art Platform (CAP) played a crucial role in introducing the group to Mr. Mohammad's artistic legacy, which spans nearly 1,000 works displayed at the museum. Mrs. Ofelia Vardanyan, a CAP representative, offered valuable insights into the collection.

Mrs. Marika Kochlamazashvili, IWG President, expressed gratitude to Mr. Mohammad for hosting the group. The visit was described as deeply touching and enriching by IWG members, who appreciated the opportunity to engage with Kuwaiti creativity. The event was attended by spouses of ambassadors, IWG members, and H.E Sheikha AlAnoud Ibrahim Duaij Al Sabah, celebrating Kuwait's artistic landscape.

This was Dar Mariam Museum's first official group visit, offering attendees a unique chance to appreciate Mr. Mohammad's work and Kuwait's artistic heritage. Through such initiatives, IWG continues to strengthen cultural ties and promote friendship among women in Kuwait's diplomatic and international communities.
