It's Alive! Bats Theatre Welcomes Unique Family Show

On 02 October 2025, Bats Theatre in Wellington will host a unique, family-friendly event brought to you by Improverished. The show, 'It's Alive!', is a creation of Francesca Browne and promises a delightful blend of theatre, comedy, science, and improvisation. The story follows two young, aspiring scientists who, in their mum's secret lab, accidentally bring a puppet to life. The audience will be invited to participate in creating a new monster, with the creature evolving throughout the show. Behind this innovative show is the renowned improvisational theatre group, Die Gorillas, from Berlin. Known for their interactive and child-friendly programmes, Die Gorillas have brought us hits like 'Can I Get an Underground Location and a Mythical Creature?' and 'Random Fairytale Generator'. Their shows are beloved in the German improvisation scene for their playful and engaging approach, appealing to both families and adults alike.
