"Italy's Antonio Tiberi expresses improved performance for the Vuelta a España, backed by his second-place finish in the Tour de Pologne"
Antonio Tiberi Shines in Tour de Pologne, Eyes Vuelta a España 2025
Italian cyclist Antonio Tiberi delivered a strong performance at the Tour de Pologne 2025, securing a second-place finish overall. This impressive result, coupled with his fourth place in the final time trial stage, has boosted his morale and left him feeling confident about his condition for the Vuelta a España 2025.
In the Polish race, Tiberi managed to limit the gaps on stage winner Victor Langellotti and the late breakaway during the gruelling ascent to Bukovina Tatranska. His consistent performance throughout the tour solidified his position at 29 seconds behind Brandon McNulty in the general classification.
As Tiberi eyes the Vuelta a España 2025, he sees the Tour de Pologne as an opportunity to test his legs for the upcoming challenge. He has been careful not to push himself too hard, given the demanding nature of the Spanish Grand Tour.
Tiberi's performance in the Tour de Pologne has not only boosted his morale but also earned him a place among the key figures in the speculation about Italy's challenges in the Vuelta a España 2025. He will have the support of experienced Grand Tour racer and teammate Damiano Caruso, who showed his own rising form with a solo victory in the Vuelta a Burgos and a win in the Vuelta at the Alto de Velefique summit finish a few years ago.
Despite his optimism, Tiberi remains non-committal about his chances in the Vuelta a España 2025 due to his previous heatstroke-induced abandon. However, he believes his performance in the Tour de Pologne will serve him well ahead of the Vuelta, providing him with the confidence he needs to tackle the challenges that lie ahead.
The Vuelta a España 2025 will be held in Turin, and Filippo Ganna of Ineos Grenadiers is a natural favorite for the time trial stage in Valladolid on stage 17. Tiberi, with his strong showing in the Tour de Pologne, will undoubtedly be a force to reckon with in the upcoming Grand Tour.
