Italian Students Back Euro-MP's Gaza Flotilla, Threaten University Blockades
Euro-MP Benedetta Scuderi and PD deputy Arturo Scotto, aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla, have vowed to continue their mission despite Israeli forces' attacks and threats. Meanwhile, Italian students are rallying behind the expedition, with some threatening university blockades if contact is lost.
Students across Italy are closely monitoring the flotilla's progress via social media and a boat tracker. They've connected with expedition members, including Euro-MP Scuderi and PD deputy Scotto, for updates. At Liceo Gioberti, students spoke with Abderrahmane Amajou, an activist and president of ActionAid Italy, who commended Italian student support for Palestine. The first artistic high school also connected with an activist from the Calp of Genoa for updates on the flotilla's approach to Gaza's coasts. In solidarity, students at Einstein started a self-management occupation, with plans for activities in the coming days. Students from Liceo Gioberti, Einstein, Cattaneo, and other schools are mobilizing in support of the Palestinian population and the Global Sumud Flotilla.
Italian students are actively supporting the Global Sumud Flotilla's mission to break the Israeli naval blockade and bring aid to Gaza. They're prepared to escalate their actions, including university blockades, if contact with the flotilla is lost.
