Italian Eurovision victor unveils new album, currently sitting at No. 2 in French charts
With a Heart-Pounding Debut, Damiano David Shakes Things Up
Are you ready for a wild ride? Damiano David, the sexy, electrifying rocker from Måneskin (the band that dominated Eurovision four years ago!) is stepping out on his own, and it's about to be a bloody fan-tastic show! On May 22, 2021, Italy took the Eurovision crown, beating out France and the heart-wrenching ballad "Voilà." Since then, Måneskin has been the talk of the town, bringing fresh energy to European rock.
Now, Damiano has his eyes set on global domination with his debut solo album, "Funny Little Fears," which dropped on May 16. Hide your undies, folks, because this album is a powerful, sensitive masterpiece that is already giving fans sleepless nights! And does it ever! Since its release on May 26, the album has been ranked #2 in France's Top Albums, just behind the late, great Werenoi.

Funny Little Fears, An Album to Die For
Beneath the bad-boy façade lies an immensely talented musician. Damiano David, son of a steward and a flight attendant, began crooning in his Rome bedroom at the tender age of 6 and never looked back. In true rock'n'roll fashion, he's an autodidact, penning and composing every track on his album to create an exceptional debut. His songs tackle universal themes like loneliness, mental health, and emotional scars, hitting listeners right in the feels.
"Sick of Myself," a soulful ballad, is a perfect example. It's like getting sucker-punched by a riding crop, but in the best way possible! Other standout tracks include "Next Summer," a dance floor-shocker, "Angel," and "Born with a Broken Heart," currently dominating the airwaves. Damiano shows more vulnerability than his electric Eurovision performance, but he's just as magnetic.
The numbers don't lie. "Funny Little Fears" has already captured over 256 million streams and 58 million YouTube views. That's bloody impressive for a solo project and a major gamble that is paying off like a Las Vegas slot machine!
Paris Booked Solid for the Solo Heartthrob
Embarking on this solo journey without his Måneskin crew was daunting for Damiano. "At first, I was fucking terrified I wouldn't make it," he blurted out to BFMTV, adding, "The only way I knew how to do this shit was with my mates. I was wondering if I had the balls to do this alone!" The answer, my friend, is a resounding Y E S!
Damiano is heading to France soon. He's slated to perform at the Festival des Vieilles Charrues in Carhaix on July 17th. It's gonna be a French porn-worthy show! And let's not forget, he'll also be at Paris on September 26th. The show's already fucking sold out! It was originally set for the Zenith in Paris La Villette, but with demand clamoring like a groupie, the event has been shifted to the Adidas Arena at the Porte de la Chapelle.
London Calling Classic Rome Hop on a Flight
Fans of Måneskin need not fear, Damiano is still rolling with his crew. When will there be another epic concert with Victoria De Angelis, Thomas Raggi, and Ethan Torchio? Only time will tell.
