IT: Welcome to Derry Premieres on HBO Max This October

Welcome to Derry, a prequel series to Stephen King's iconic novel and film franchise, is set to premiere on HBO Max this October. Directed by Andy Muschietti and created by the Muschietti siblings and Jason Fuchs, the series expands the universe established by the two IT films and promises to delve deeper into the chilling town of Derry, Maine.

The series is set in Derry, Maine in 1962 and follows the move of Leroy and Charlotte Hanlon, played by Jovan Adepo and Taylour Paige, to the seemingly idyllic town. However, as the trailer hints, all is not as it seems in Derry. Children are disappearing, and creepy creatures lurk in the shadows, setting the stage for the return of Pennywise, portrayed once again by Bill Skarsgård.

The cast of IT: Welcome to Derry is filled with talent, including Chris Chalk as Dick Hallorann, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and Clara Stack. The series will consist of eight episodes, with new episodes premiering weekly on Sunday nights, starting October 26 at 9 p.m. ET and PT.

IT: Welcome to Derry promises to be a chilling and atmospheric addition to the Stephen King universe. With a talented cast, a skilled director, and a compelling premise, the series is sure to captivate fans of the original films and Stephen King's novel. Mark your calendars for October 26 and prepare to return to the terrifying world of Derry.
