Viking FK and Istanbul Basaksehir Set for UEFA Conference League Clash
The UEFA Conference League third qualifying round will see a thrilling encounter between Norwegian club Viking FK and Turkish powerhouse Istanbul Basaksehir. The first leg of this two-legged tie is scheduled for August 7, 2025, at 17:00 UTC, at the Lyse Arena in Stavanger, Norway.
Viking FK have been in impressive form in the qualifying rounds, having demolished Slovenian team Koper with an aggregate score of 12-3. The Norwegian side secured their place in the next round with a 5-3 win in the second qualifying round return leg, following a 7-0 victory in the first leg.

Istanbul Basaksehir, meanwhile, advanced to the third qualifying round with a hard-fought win over their opponents. They extended their lead in the 80th minute with a goal from Operi, following a corner kick by Kemen. However, the ball bounced off goalkeeper Muhammed Sengezer and was cleared by Basaksehir's defense in the 61st minute.
