Issues Surfacing in Monster Hunter Portal?
The pitch at the MHP Arena in Stuttgart is causing a stir amongst spectators, as the visibly damaged surface is affecting the Bundesliga football match between VfB Stuttgart and FC St. Pauli.
The damage, particularly noticeable in the center circle and in front of both goals, has left dark spots that are visible to both those in the stadium and those watching on TV. Small paths, resembling a dirt road, can be seen along the sidelines, unlike the usual neatly trimmed zones.
This discontent is due to marks left on the pitch from the European League of Football (EFL) final, which was held at the MHP Arena on September 7. The EFL final featured American Football, resulting in touchdowns and tackles instead of football goals and headers.
The American football team that played in the MHP Arena before the Bundesliga match between VfB Stuttgart and FC St. Pauli was the team coached by Jordan Neuman, which defeated the Vienna Vikings 24-17 in the MHP Arena Stuttgart.
Despite the damaged pitch, fans of VfB Stuttgart have created a lively atmosphere with a choreography before the game. In the first half of the game, there has been an offside goal, a missed penalty, and Angelo Stiller's highlight.
One user on X (formerly Twitter) states that the pitch is not in great shape from a distance, while another comments that the pitch is ruined. For lovers of well-maintained pitches, the damage is a nightmare.
The game is scheduled for Friday night and is floodlit. As the match progresses, it remains to be seen how the damage to the pitch will impact the flow of the game.
