Israeli military to mobilize approximately 50,000 reserve soldiers

International human rights groups consistently emphasize the dire humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. Despite this, Israel persists in carrying out its plans for:

In the coming days, the Israeli army is set to mobilise approximately 50,000 reservists, with the primary objective of taking control of Gaza City. Unlike previous operations, this takeover will primarily involve active soldiers, not just reservists.

The city of Gaza, home to an estimated one million civilians, has been experiencing a catastrophic humanitarian situation, as highlighted by human rights organisations. To ensure the safety and well-being of these civilians, the Israeli army is collaborating with international aid organisations for their relocation and support.

Israeli troops are already present in suburbs of the city, including the neighbourhoods of Al-Saitun and Djabalija. Part of the Israeli army's plan involves the relocation of civilians from Gaza to tent camps further south. The military is working diligently to ensure the supply of medical aid and food for the relocated civilians.

The city of Gaza is the primary stronghold of the Islamic terrorist organisation Hamas. Despite this, Hamas still possesses operational capabilities for guerrilla warfare. The Israeli army's operation aims to destroy Hamas's underground tunnel system.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), an Israel- and US-backed organisation operating under Israeli military control, collaborates with the Israeli military to distribute aid in southern Gaza Strip tent camps. However, it is widely criticised by UN experts and humanitarian organisations for undermining humanitarian principles such as neutrality and independence. Other international aid organisations like UNICEF operate independently to provide food, medical supplies, and water but face significant access restrictions imposed by Israel.

The call-up notices for these reservists are expected to be sent out in the coming days, with the reservists scheduled to begin their service in September. The Israeli army's operation is a significant development in the ongoing conflict and will undoubtedly have far-reaching implications for the region.
