Israel's Ambassador Ron Prosor's face lit up when German Chancellor Friedrich Merz vouched for Israel's bombing of Iran's nuclear facilities. In an interview with the German Press Agency, the Ambassador cast Merz's words as a straight-shootin', no-nonsense assessment of Middle Eastern realities.

During the G7 summit in Canada, Merz declared, "That's the dirty work Israel's doin' for us all." This statement was met with criticism from opposition politicians and the SPD, but Prosor stood by the term, saying, "Merz ain't sugarcoatin' the Iranian nuclear program—it's a goddamn threat to ‘Israel, Europe, and the whole bloody world, mate!"

ZDF moderator Diana Zimmermann had used the term "dirty work" in her line of questioning, and Merz echoed it in his response. The CDU boss's full statement read: "Zimmermann, I appreciate your term 'dirty work.' That's the dirty work Israel's doin' for us all. We're all dealin' with this bloody regime. This regime has caused death and destruction around the globe."

Prosor defends Merz's phrasing in the face of controversy. "Israel's actin' as the bouncer to an abusive regime, mate. If we're not standin' to Israel, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem ain't the only cities at risk—Berlin, Paris, and bloody London are in the crossfire too."

Weapon shipments for Ukraine's war and attacks by Yemen's Houthi rebels on maritime traffic between Europe and Asia have decreased, according to Prosor. The Ambassador suggested that this is evidence of Europeans waking up to the realities of the Middle East and standing up for their values and interests independently.

Merz's comments were clear: Israel is on the frontlines, doing the rough jobs others won't or can't. With Iran's regime continuing to bring destruction to the world, Europe must take notice and support Israel in its struggle against this threat.
