Take Cover, City Folks! Israel Continues to Bomb Tehran - Residents Evacuated
Israel step ups air assaults
The showdown between Israel and Iran intensifies, as Israel's air force bombards Tehran once more. Eyewitnesses report explosions in the western and eastern parts of the metropolis, but the targets remain unclear. Residents are fleeing as supplies dwindle, and businesses operate minimally.
Israeli troops have urged the evacuation of approximately 300,000 residents from a densely populated district, home to embassies, shopping centers, and luxurious residences covering about 30 square kilometers. The military has issued similar aggressive evacuation calls during past conflicts, such as the Gaza war, raising eyebrows.
Following Israel's air attacks, Iran's Revolutionary Guard called for Tel Aviv residents to evacuate promptly, as reported by state media. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged Tehran's residents to leave during the ongoing Israeli attacks, stating, "We are on the verge of achieving our two goals: eliminating the nuclear threat and eliminating the rocket threat."
Netanyahu further accused Iran of assaulting Israeli civilians and declared, "We tell the citizens of Tehran: 'Leave the area!' - and we act." Tehran is home to over 15 million people, with many civilians unfortunately losing their lives in previous Israeli attacks on Iran.
Is Israel's Iron Dome overrated?
Authorities claim that out of the rockets launched towards Israel overnight, seven struck Israeli soil, injuring at least 100 people. Conversely, Iran's nighttime attacks on Tel Aviv and Haifa resulted in the deaths of at least eight Israeli civilians. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz forecasted that Tehran "will pay the price, and soon."
Since Friday, the death toll in Israel has risen to 24, all of them civilians. Iranian health officials confirm that at least 224 people have perished on their side, mostly civilians as well.
As the conflict rages on, the international community is urged to intervene and promote peace to prevent further loss of life and damage to infrastructure. The situation remains tense, with both sides escalating their military actions.
