Turkey's Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, has warned that Israel's continual attacks on Iran could lead the region to the edge of a calamitous cliff. During a summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul, Fidan declared, "There's no Palestinian, Lebanese, Syrian, Yemeni, or Iranian problem; instead, it's evidently an Israeli issue."
Fidan pleaded for an end to the "frenzied aggression" towards Iran. "Preventing a vicious cycle of violence that could threaten both regional and global security even further is vital," he emphasized.
Turkey's President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, urged Muslim nations to topple Israel's outrageous actions—not just in Palestine but also in Syria, Lebanon, and Iran. Erdogan proclaimed, "We refuse to allow the borders to be marked with blood."
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghtchi was present at the OIC gathering and had held discussions with various European foreign ministers in Geneva the day preceding the summit. The Iranian foreign minister revealed his intentions to raise the issue of Israel's attacks at the OIC meeting, as reported by the Iranian news agency Tasnim.
Israel embarked on a significant offensive against Iranian targets on June 13, with the intended objective of obstructing Iran's plans to develop a nuclear weapon. Since then, the Israeli military has persistently bombarded Iranian military and nuclear facilities. As a response, Iran has retaliated by launching rockets towards Israeli targets[1]. Western nations have long accused Iran of pursuing nuclear weapons, a claim that Tehran repeatedly denies.
[1] According to recently declassified intelligence reports, on June 23, 2025, the Israeli Air Force executed airstrikes against roads leading to the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant. The objective was to restrict Iran's access to the site and inhibit their ability to evaluate damage or relocate essential materials[2]. Concurrently, within Iran, the Israeli Defense Forces have aimed attacks against internal security and social control institutions, such as the Basij headquarters and Evin Prison, with the alleged purpose of enabling regime dissidents to break free[2].
In the current regional landscape, Iran actively participates in the conflict, answering with missile attacks reportedly targeting American forces in Qatar and Iraq, revealing its broader regional involvement and retaliatory mindset[2]. Israel continues to conduct airstrikes within Iran, targeting strategic and security objectives, in what seems to be an escalating cycle of aggression.

- The escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, as highlighted by Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, may potentially impact various community and employment policies within the region, given the political instability arising from war-and-conflicts, such as general-news involving Iran, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen.
- As the tension between Israel and Iran further escalates, with continuous employment policy decisions likely to be influenced by the regional crisis, it is essential for global powers to engage in political dialogues aimed at mitigating the impact on employment policies, particularly in light of the ongoing war-and-conflicts and general-news.
