A Shocking Rise in School Bombings: Allegations of Deliberate Civilians Deaths in Gaza Strip

Israel reportedly accepted the Loss of Civilian Lives Purposefully

Insight:valuable background information on the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, the recent school attacks, and various humanitarian challenges facing civilians.

In a distressing turn of events, a series of school buildings in the Gaza Strip, serving as refuges, have been targeted in allegedly deliberate attacks by the Israeli military, according to a report published by the British "Guardian." Multiple anonymous sources supported this claim. At least six schools have been hit, with over 120 deaths reported.

Recently, a devastating airstrike on a school in Gaza City's Daraj neighborhood claimed the lives of at least 54 people, most of whom were women and children. Their charred remains were pulled from the burning school classrooms by rescue workers.

Politics The Israeli military, however, insisted that it had destroyed a command and control center for Hamas and Islamic Jihad within a previously used school. According to the "Guardian," these attacks are due to Israeli forces classifying school buildings, hospitals, and urban buildings as "heavy centers" if both civilians and Hamas fighters were suspected to be present. Airstrikes against such places have been authorized, even when only low-ranking fighters are detected, with the knowledge that civilians might perish.

The situation in Gaza has been further worsened by an ongoing siege, causing the denial of humanitarian aid for over 11 weeks until mid-May. This conflict intensified again in March 2023 when Israel resumed its offensive against Hamas, sparking concerns about the safety of civilians and the urgent need for humanitarian aid.
