Israel Launches Attack on Iranian Defense Ministry and Oil Storage Facilities

Attack on Tehran! The Israeli military has boldly attacked the Iranian Defense Ministry in Tehran and other strategic facilities, marking the escalation of a series of attacks on the Iranian nuclear program.

The Israeli Air Force has reportedly hit "nuclear weapons project infrastructure facilities" and oil depots in Tehran, as well as other covert locations - part of a massive operation dubbed Operation Rising Lion. This series of attacks was announced overnight via the army's official Telegram channel.

Among the targeted sites were the Defense Ministry of the Islamic Republic, a state-owned nuclear research organization, and various military infrastructure facilities. Furthermore, the hiding place of the state's nuclear archive and city-based targets were attacked to allegedly impede Iran's pursuit of nuclear dominance. According to Iranian news agency Tasnim, one of the Defense Ministry buildings sustained only minor damage in the Israeli attack.

Earlier in the day, Israel Defense Minister Israel Katz had tweeted, "Tehran is burning," while alarms were raised about an oil depot fire in the Shahran district. Iranian portal SNN reported that the oil depot fire was under control, but videos from Iranian media depicted vast oil tanks engulfed in flames and emitting considerable smoke.

Remarkably, since June 13, 2025, Israel has been intensifying its strikes on Iran, targeting military figures, nuclear scientists, defense positions, cities, and reportedly oil and gas fields. Iran has considered these air attacks a declaration of war and has fired hundreds of rockets and drones in retaliation. Unfortunately, this ongoing conflict has led to at least three fatalities and several injuries in Israel.

The Burning Sands of Conflict

This latest round of hostilities came after weeks of escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, with Israel promising dire consequences for further Iranian rocket attacks on its civilian population. The old city of Jerusalem has allegedly been significantly impacted by this conflict, with residents bearing the brunt of the chaos.
