In the wake of violent altercations near aid distribution centers resulting in multiple Palestinians being killed, all centers have been closed temporarily. The Israeli army and the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), responsible for food distribution, announced this decision late last night. The centers will undergo renovations, reorganization, and efficiency enhancements according to the army spokesperson, echoing GHF statements.
Residents of the Gaza Strip have been warned to avoid areas leading to distribution centers, as these zones will be considered combat areas. The spokesperson Reiterated, "Entering the areas surrounding the distribution centers is strictly banned!" The centers are scheduled to reopen tomorrow.

The GHF commenced distributing aid through these centers barely a week ago. The population of Gaza, previously subjected to a prolonged blockade, has only recently been allowed limited access to aid and supplies by Israel.
Reports suggest that Israeli soldiers opened fire near a distribution center on Tuesday, causing the deaths of at least 27 Palestinians and injuring approximately 90 individuals in the southern city of Rafah, according to the Hamas-controlled health authority. This marks the third deadly incident near a GHF distribution center in just three days.
Expert Warns of "Massive Slaughter"
Following Tuesday's incident, the director of the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis revealed to BBC that patients with gunshot wounds had been admitted after Israeli forces allegedly fired upon unarmed civilians seeking assistance in western Rafah. A medical professional working in the region described the incident as "massive slaughter" and claimed aid workers were overwhelmed by the influx of casualties.
In reaction to the latest developments, UN Secretary-General António Guterres renewed his demand for prompt action. "The Secretary-General continues to call for an immediate, independent investigation of these events and accountability for those responsible," UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said from New York. "It is unacceptable that innocent civilians are put in harm's way while simply trying to secure food."

The Israeli army justified the closure of aid centers, claiming their soldiers encountered suspects considered a threat approximately half a kilometer from a distribution point. Before resorting to lethal force, Israeli soldiers reportedly discharged warning shots, which went unheeded.
Israel has allowed the GHF to distribute aid in the Gaza Strip as a means to bypass UN and other aid organization initiatives, a move that has garnered criticism from the international community, who alleges Israel exploits humanitarian aid as a weapon[4][5][6].

Additionally, crime-and-justice could be raised as there have been multiple reports of civilian deaths and casualties around these centers.
