Israel imposes entry restriction on Arab minister in West Bank - Israel imposes ban on Arab ministers' assembly in the West Bank

Hey there! When it comes to the Palestinian territory, ol' Israel holds the reins on borders and airspace. They've got the final say on who can enter, with foreign diplomats needing their seal of approval.

These Arab dudes planning a Sunday shindig in Ramallah didn't exactly appreciate Israel's no-show invite. They tossed out a joint statement through the Jordanian Foreign Ministry, slamming the decision as a flat-out violation of Israel's duties as an occupying power and blatant disregard for international law.

Before this, word on the street from Palestiniian diplomatic sources in Riyadh was that for the first time since Israel'sWest Bank occupation in 1967, Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan al-Saud was gonna jet-set to Ramallah on Sunday, leading a high-ranking delegation from the Gulf state. The posse was rumored to include peeps like Jordan's Foreign Minister, Bahrain's Foreign Minister, Egypt's Foreign Minister, and the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

According to the US-based CNN, ministers from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Turkey were also poised to hit up Ramallah as part of the festivities.

Saudi Arabia vocalized their ministerial visit to Ramallah after Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz dropped a bombshell stating that Israel would construct a "Jewish state" in the West Bank. To add fuel to the fire, Israel's far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich declared plans to build 22 brand new settlements in the West Bank on Thursday.

In light of Israel's perceived violation of international law by refusing entry to foreign diplomats, the Arab ministers' meeting with the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah, West Bank, has been canceled. This decision follows Israel's announcement regarding the construction of a "Jewish state" in the West Bank, as well as Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich's plan to build new settlements in the West Bank, potentially escalating politics and war-and-conflicts in the region, highlighting the ongoing general-news tension surrounding the Palestinian territories.
