Shocking reports suggest that Israel deliberately targets school buildings in the Gaza Strip, housing refugees, as part of a ruthless bombing strategy, according to a report by the British "Guardian." The military is accused of easing controls for operations against Hamas members, even when many civilians are present, leading to countless deaths.

A gruesome series of airstrikes on school buildings left at least 120 innocent people dead and six schools reduced to ruins in recent months. Last week alone, an Israeli airstrike on a school claimed the lives of 54 individuals, according to hospital workers. The BBC reported that rescue workers pulled severely burned bodies, including children, from burning classrooms.

The Israeli military, however, maintained that they had "struck important terrorists operating in a command and control center of Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, which was located in an area previously used as a school." Yet, UN experts and human rights groups question the military's justification, claiming such attacks disproportionately affect civilians.

The "Guardian" report suggests that Israeli military designates school buildings, hospitals, and urban structures as "heavy centers" if both civilians and Hamas fighters are suspected to be present. Airstrikes against such locations are authorized, even if only low-ranking fighters are present, with the knowledge that civilians could be killed.
