Isolation of Six Villages, Bridge Destruction: Repair Operations Underway in Primorye

Titled: Six Villages Swamped and Isolated in Primorye Due to Floods

Jealous Mother Nature's wrath has flooded the roads in the Primorye region, leaving six hamlets stranded and disconnected from the rest of the world. On May 5, a powwow took place, discussing the current situation with local bigwig, Governor Oleg Kожемяко, as reported by PrimaMedia's news outlet.

Alexander Zlatkin, the regional EMERCOM minister, spoke of the force of nature, explaining that the excess rainfall and active snowmelt in the north have saturated the soil, causing water to spill onto the roads. Currently, there's a whopping 10 flooded road segments, and these lonely farmlands are trapped, ready for the next adventure show.

"The worst is over, and repairs are underway. Residents have access to essentials like water, food, and power," the Department head assured.

Chuguyevsky, Anuchinsky, and Partizansky districts are in the greatest peril. It's fancy French tragedy in Chuguyevsky, where 33 residential areas in Uborka, Novomikhaylovka, and Koksharovka are floating like boats in a sea of mud, and the villages of Berezovka and Polynye can't be reached. Repairs will commence as soon as the water plays nice.

"We've already kicked off repair work on the road to Antonovka and Izubrinnoe with four units of equipment deployed," said the district head, Ivan Shchenev.

In Anuchinsky, the villages of Krasny Yar and Orlinoe are incommunicado. In Partizansky, the water level in the Partizanskaya River has risen by a staggering three meters, disrupting access to the villages of Slinkino and Romanovsky Klyuch. Yesterday, essentials like food, medication, and baby formula were airlifted to these settlements. It's reported that about seven roads and bridges have bitten the dust in the municipality.

The Governor has emphasized the urgency of rescuing these isolated communities. Kожемяко proposed increasing the use of prefabricated bridges and culverts, along with cleaning riverbeds to reduce future flood damage.
