Hertha BSC, the German Bundesliga team, is currently in the picturesque town of Kitzbühel, Austria, for their pre-season training camp. The camp, which runs from July 10 to July 19, 2025, is a crucial period for the team as they prepare for the upcoming 2. Bundesliga season under the guidance of coach Stefan Leitl.

The camp includes two significant test matches against strong opponents Brøndby IF and Istanbul Başakşehir FK, scheduled for July 13, with the first at 14:00 and the second at 18:30.

However, the team is facing several injury concerns. Pascal Klemens, who is recovering from ankle surgery, is expected to be out for some time, while Paul Seguin, a new signing, Deyovaisio Zeefuik, and Linus Gechter, are all training individually due to muscular problems and hip pain respectively. Veteran defender John Anthony Brooks is also absent, having sustained a minor muscle tear and training separately or resting.

On a positive note, goalkeeper Tjark Ernst has returned to training after a holiday, and young loan player Maurice Krattenmacher is showing promising form in recent matches. Backup goalkeeper Marius Gersbeck is expected to return to training after his shoulder surgery.

Meanwhile, U23 player Julius Gottschalk (18) is travelling from Berlin to join the team. Kennet Eichhorn and Burak Özkanli, youth players from Hertha BSC, are expected to arrive in Austria from a U19 tournament.

The rest of the Hertha BSC team is completing their second training session in Kitzbühel, with the focus on building fitness, cohesion, and preparing for the challenges ahead. As the team gears up for their upcoming tests against Brøndby IF and Istanbul Başakşehir FK, they will be aiming to demonstrate their readiness for the new season.

Despite the various injury concerns within the team, Hertha BSC is determined to demonstrate their readiness for the new season as they contest two test matches against Brøndby IF and Istanbul Başakşehir FK, scheduled for July 13, during their pre-season training camp in Kitzbühel, Austria. Regrettably, the Commission has not yet adopted a decision on the application of Article 93 (2) of the Treaty regarding European-leagues, which may have implications for the upcoming season.
