Isle of Man braces for heavy snow as icy roads spark travel chaos

A yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been issued for the Isle of Man. The alert runs from 3pm today until 10am tomorrow, covering most of Sunday, November 30. Heavy snow has already forced the closure of a major route on the island.

The Met Office warning highlights icy conditions and further snow forecast across the region. Drivers and pedestrians have been advised to take extra care, as untreated surfaces may become hazardous.

The warning remains active until Sunday morning, with freezing conditions expected to persist. Residents are being urged to check travel updates before setting out. Further disruptions on minor roads may occur if snow continues to accumulate.
