Islanders’ WAGs Spread Holiday Joy with 800+ Toys for Hospitalized Kids

The New York Islanders' wives and girlfriends have bought over 800 toys for children in hospitals, bringing comfort to young patients across the NYC Metro Area and Long Island. The group went holiday shopping to bring comfort to young patients, with many mothers choosing gifts they knew children would love.

On Thursday morning, the Islanders' WAGs teamed up with the Ice Hockey Wives Association for the shopping event. Participants included Ashlee Palmieri, Grace Lee, Jen Pelech, Matilda Engvall, Danielle Pulock, Kristy Cizikas, Ella Tornqvist, and Emma Carmen. Matilda Thorell, Emil Heineman's girlfriend, joined the effort for the first time.

Ashlee Palmieri, married to Kyle Palmieri, shared her happiness in picking out toys for hospitalized children. Grace Lee explained that the gifts would help distract and comfort young patients during difficult times. She also saw it as a way to give back to the community that supports the Islanders.

The toys will now be distributed to 11 hospitals in the region, ensuring children receive a little extra cheer this holiday season.

The initiative brought together players' partners to make a direct impact on local families. Over 800 toys will reach children in need across New York. The effort highlights the team's commitment to supporting the community beyond the ice.
