The Warriors drew first blood in the opening inning. Alaula Wong notched an RBI line-out, giving KSH an early 1-0 advantage. Kohala promptly tied the score, but the Lady Warriors regained the lead thanks to Wong's impressive RBI double and Kaohinani Christensen's subsequent RBI groundout.

Naiya Avenue's RBI groundout tied the game for Kohala in the fifth, but the Cowgirls' lead was short-lived. Loryn-Rose Carvalho logged an RBI single to put Kohala ahead 7-6 in the bottom of the sixth.
However, the Lady Warriors were far from done. Mya Domingo-Bautista singled to left, driving in a run, and the Cowgirls' following error gifted KSH another run, giving them an 8-7 lead. From there, the Lady Warriors never looked back.
