Iserlohn Retains Coach Nyman and Parts Ways with Twelve Professionals - Iserlohn Roosters rebuild with new players but keep coach Nyman

The Iserlohn Roosters have confirmed their spot in the DEL with a strong season. Now, the club is making changes—both on the ice and behind the bench. Head coach Stefan Nyman will stay for another year, marking the first time in nearly a decade that the same coach leads the team into a new campaign.

The Roosters finished the 2023/24 season with 28 players on their DEL roster. But twelve professionals will leave this summer after not receiving new contract offers. The club has praised their effort, noting that every departing player contributed to the team's growth.

A major rebuild is underway, yet stability returns in one key area. Stefan Nyman's contract extension means the Roosters will keep the same head coach for consecutive seasons for the first time since Jari Pasanen (2012–2017). Management has expressed satisfaction with Nyman's leadership, citing progress under his guidance.

The Roosters now prepare for next season with a refreshed squad and a familiar face behind the bench. Twelve players will depart, while Nyman's return brings rare continuity to the coaching role. The club aims to build on this season's success with both new talent and steady leadership.
