Unleashing the Truth: The Farce Behind OIC's Pahalgam Remarks

"Ironic": India Firmly Rebuts Statement by Islamic Block Over Pahalgam Terror Incident

New Delhi: In a bizarre turn of events, India severely criticized the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for its absurd stance on the Pahalgam terror attack in 2025. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) slammed the OIC for issuing a statement at Pakistan's behest, blatantly disregarding the truth about the horrific attack and its cross-border linkages.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal passionately declared, "The OIC statement, issued at the whim of Pakistan, is absurd in refusing to acknowledge the facts about the Pahalgam terrorist attack and its cross-border linkages." He further added that Pakistan, a country steeped in cross-border terrorism, attempted to manipulate and mislead the OIC group to issue a self-serving statement.

Rejecting the OIC's unwarranted interference, Mr. Jaiswal asserted, "We utterly reject the OIC's meddling in matters that are internal to India."

As recorded in history, the Pahalgam attack in Indian-administered Kashmir took the lives of at least 26 civilians. The attack, perpetrated by a Pakistan-based terrorist group, whose offshoot claimed responsibility, underscores the long-standing issue of cross-border terrorism. Evidence suggests that Pakistani terrorists were heavily involved in the planning of the attack, with connections to previous events in Jammu and Kashmir.

In an attempt to undermine India's progress, the Pahalgam attack was strategically timed amidst a period of high global profile. The goal was to embarrass the Indian government and reverse the economic and social advancements in Kashmir following India's decision to integrate the region more closely in 2019. Furthermore, it aimed to disrupt the narrative of peace and normalcy in Kashmir, achieved by significant tourist arrivals in recent years.

To maintain peace and stability, it is crucial that international organizations recognize and confront the truth about such incidents. However, as of now, the OIC has not issued a specific statement about the Pahalgam attack. Instead, the OIC, generally, has expressed concern over the situation in Kashmir and has advocated for a peaceful resolution of the India-Pakistan dispute. In the past, the OIC has supported Pakistan's stance on Kashmir, yet it has also emphasized the need for dialogue and peaceful resolution of conflicts.

In light of the Pahalgam attack and the OIC's questionable stance, India calls for transparency and truth in all matters concerning international peace and security. India will not tolerate external attempts to manipulate and distort the facts to serve one's selfish interests.
