Middle East Conflict Updates: Israel's Actions Delay Iran's Nuclear Ambitions 🇮🇱🇮🇷

Iran's nuclear program has been reportedly delayed by at least two to three years, according to Israel's foreign minister.

Want the latest info on the Middle East hotspot? Buckle up, buddy! Here's a no-holds-barred overview of the ongoing drama between Israel and Iran.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar believes that Israel has successfully delayed Iran's nuclear program by at least two to three years. In an exclusive interview with "Bild," Sa'ar stated, "With our strikes on Iran, we've managed to hold off their nuclear ambitions for a significant period." Israel will continue to target Iranian facilities until the threat is completely eliminated, according to Sa'ar.

On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghtchi suspects that the US's diplomatic initiative to resolve the nuclear dispute may be a ploy. In an interview with US broadcaster NBC News, he claimed, "The Americans seem to have a hidden agenda and might attack Iran regardless of negotiations." Iran simply cannot trust the US, Araghtchi pointed out.

According to the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), based in the US, Israel's attacks on Iran have claimed at least 657 lives, with over 263 civilians among the casualties. The Tel Aviv army has also reported conducting a series of attacks on missile launch sites in western Iran, while its air defense has intercepted a drone launched from Iran.

As the world watches the escalating tension between Israel and Iran, UN Secretary-General António Guterres warns of the dangerous path humanity is on. "We're going down a dangerous road, and further escalation could cause a fire that no one can control," he stated before the UN Security Council in New York. Diplomacy remains the key to averting disaster, according to Guterres.

In other developments, US President Donald Trump expressed his disapproval of European mediation efforts in the conflict. "Iran doesn't want to deal with Europe. They want to talk to us," Trump stated. "Europe won't be able to help." The foreign ministers of Germany, France, and the UK had urged Iran to negotiate with the US over its nuclear program.

The Middle East region has experienced a series of earthquakes in recent days, including a 5.1 magnitude earthquake that hit Iran's Semnan province. Initial reports indicate no significant damage or casualties. However, due to the convergence of the Arabian, Indian, and Eurasian plates in the region, strong tremors are common.

In Geneva, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghtchi met with his counterparts from Germany, France, and the UK (E3). Despite the ongoing tensions, Araghtchi expressed readiness for continued diplomatic efforts and hinted at a potential near-future meeting.
