Iran reportedly surpassed a critical nuclear development milestone, as per intelligence shared by Israel's military. - Iran's nuclear program, according to Israel's military, is edging closer to a point of no return.

Israel's early morning raids last week sent shockwaves across the Middle East, striking crucial Iranian targets – including the capital Tehran and the Natanz nuclear facility. The Iranian media reported that these attacks claimed the lives of top personnel such as Iranian army chief Mohammed Bagheri and the commander of the Revolutionary Guards, Hossein Salami. Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, issued a chilling response, threatening Israel with severe retribution.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reveled in the success of his attack, claiming it had struck the core of Iran's uranium enrichment program. He further asserted that Israel had managed to tackle the heart of Iran's ballistic missile program as well. The Israeli army spokesman, Effie Defrin, confirmed that Israeli combat aircraft severely damaged Iran's air defense systems.

Defrin painted a looming and treacherous picture of a triple threat from Iran: first, the regime's accelerated march towards acquiring an atomic bomb, as revealed by Israeli intelligence for the first time. Defrin pointed to secret experiments conducted by leading Iranian nuclear scientists geared towards developing all the components necessary for nuclear weapons production.

"This indisputable evidence indicates that the Iranian regime is hell-bent on acquiring nuclear weapons in the immediate future," Defrin warned.

The second threat, according to Defrin, is Iran's ballistic missile arsenal, which it's building in unprecedented numbers. The third threat is Iran's expanding influence in the Middle East, arming, funding, and directing militant groups against Israel. The objective of the operation, Defrin emphasized, was to eliminate the threat.

In a subsequent statement, the Israeli army referred to intelligence materials that showcased Iran's explicit plan to wipe Israel from the map. Given this information, Israel had no choice but to act, the army explained.

Israel, ever threatened by Iran's aggressive ambitions since its inception, views the Islamic Republic as more determined than ever to annihilate the Jewish state. After the attacks, Defense Minister Israel Katz reaffirmed this perception on Friday.

For years, Western countries have leveled accusations of nuclear weapons development against Iran, which Tehran vehemently denies. A recent report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) revealed Iran's recent escalation in enriching uranium to 60% purity, bringing it closer to achieving the necessary 90% purity for nuclear weapon production.

Iran leads the "Axis of Resistance" it established against Israel and the U.S., comprising allies such as Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, the Houthis in Yemen, and Iraqi militias. Their common goal: Israel's destruction.
