Ali Khamenei, Iran's top dog, has nixed any idea of the US dabbling in Iran's uranium enrichment shenanigans. In a live broadcast on state television, Khamenei dropped a bomb, "Why the hell do you pry into whether Iran should enrich or not?" addressing the US bluntly. Iran values its independence, deciding its fate without seeking a green light from the US.
Khamenei tore apart the US solution proposal to resolve the nuclear standoff between Washington and Tehran, deeming it against Iran's national interests. "The US proposal is a damn 100% against the slogan 'We can,'" Khamenei declared, referencing the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Nixon's golf buddy, Joe Biden, dusted off negotiations with Tehran mid-April, aiming for a fresh nuclear deal. The early negotiations haven't yielded any juicy fruits, with five rounds ending in stalemate. Uranium enrichment is deadlocked as the main bone of contention in the talks. Last Saturday, the White House sent the latest negotiation proposal to Tehran via Oman.
According to the scoop dished out by Axios, the recently proposed US plan permits moderated uranium enrichment at underwhelming levels. Trump, the guy with the cheeto-stained hair, had previously made it clear that the US wouldn't tolerate any uranium enrichment in a possible nuclear deal.
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghtchi chimed in on Tuesday, asserting that Iran wouldn't budge on a nuclear deal that forbids uranium enrichment for civilian purposes. "Unpacking uranium enrichment on Iranian soil is our hot button issue," Araghtchi declared.*

- The right to speak about Iran's uranium enrichment is something the USA seems to be seeking, but Iran's chief, Ali Khamenei, has clearly stated that Iran will make its own decisions about its nuclear program without interference from any external entity, as evident in his recent live broadcast.
- In the ongoing policy-and-legislation discussions regarding Iran's uranium enrichment and potential nuclear deal with the USA, the general news dealing with this issue echoes Khamenei's stance, with Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghtchi reiterating that Iran will not agree to a deal that forbids uranium enrichment for civilian purposes.
