Over the past few days, a video surfaced online claiming to depict Iranian undercover intelligence nabbing a Mossad van abundant with drones in Kakareza, Lorestan, western Iran.
The short clip, said to have been shot at an undisclosed location, supposedly shows a group of dark-suited men, assumed to be Iranian agents, grabbing hold of a dodgy-looking van, brimming with modern-day drones.
Locally-run newspapers, a couple of days ago, revealed that Iranian cops in Alborz province, west of Tehran, had apprehended two suspects believed to have Mossad links.
In addition, the Iranian security force found more than 200 kilograms of explosives in a multi-story building thought to serve as a hangout for "Israeli agents to assemble and store UAVs," according to the Tasnim news agency.
This is not the first time such incidents are reported. Prior to Israel's aerial attack on Iran, targeting nuclear facilities and claiming the lives of several high-ranking military leaders, Mossad spies were already within Iran, providing confidential intel, and allegedly disabling Tehran's air defense system.
Israeli security officials affirmed that Israel's intelligence agency had sneaked weapons into Iran ahead of the airstrikes.
