In a unique turn of events, authorities in Iran have apprehended a German citizen on charges of spying in the southwest region of the country. The alleged spying suspect was identified as a tourist, reportedly cycling through the area when Israel launched its attacks.
The Iranian news agency Tasnim revealed this information recently, without disclosing the nationality or the exact timing of the arrest. The Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) echoed the news, citing the intelligence branch of the Revolutionary Guard as responsible for the arrest in the province of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad.
