Iran designates new commander for Revolutionary Guards Air Force Corps

Bang! Boom! That's the sound of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, where the dust hasn't even settled from the latest round of Israeli strikes.

Last week, the bloody nose landed on Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the Chief of the Revolutionary Guard Air Force, who met his end in Israeli attacks. But fear not, the Ayatollah ain't one to sit idly by,right? Naturally, he swiftly appointed Majid Moussavi to take the reins as the new Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force. Tough job, eh?

On Saturday, we witnessed another blow as two members of the Revolutionary Guard lost their lives at an attack on their base in the heart of Iran, according to Tasnim news agency. Sarandijeh, the base, is nestled about 100 km southwest of the capital, Tehran.

The news agency Isna reported the shocking demise of a police chief in an Israeli drone attack in the west of the country. The town of Assadabad bore witness to another fallen officer in the attack.

Israel's been on a roll since Friday morning, targeting nuclear and military facilities in Iran. The chiefs of the Iranian Army and the powerful Revolutionary Guard, along with most of the Revolutionary Guard Air Force's leadership, have been given a one-way ticket to the great beyond, courtesy of Israel's attacks.

In response, Iran's been firing back, attacking Israel with drones and rockets since Friday. Let's just say the tension in the air's thicker than a brick of lead.

The Middle East conflict's been simmering for a while now, and the recent events have only escalated things further. The explosions in Tel Aviv and Tehran serve as grim reminders of the volatile situation neither side seems eager to de-escalate. But hey, that's geopolitics for ya.
