NASCAR fans are eagerly awaiting the launch of NASCAR 25, the latest racing game from iRacing, set to be released during the NASCAR playoffs in late September or early October 2025. Here's what we know so far about the highly anticipated game.

The upcoming title will be available on the latest platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, but will not be released on previous console generations. NASCAR 25 will offer an online mode with entry fields of up to 40 cars for the Cup Series and 36 for the Truck Series, as well as private lobbies.

The game boasts a roster of around 190 drivers across the NASCAR Truck, Xfinity, and Cup Series, as well as the ARCA Menards Series, with over 400 paint schemes available. A recent playtest with NASCAR drivers, including William Byron from Hendrick Motorsports, provided a glimpse of the game's user interface and gameplay, although the experience was limited and did not reveal much about the overall gameplay experience.

While there hasn't been much visual material released yet, fans can expect official screenshots, the roster, and gameplay footage to be shared in July and August 2025. Some shots from inside one of the Cup Series cars have been released, but nothing substantial. However, a photo of William Byron playing NASCAR 25 is the clearest image of the gameplay and UI available so far, offering a tantalizing preview of what's to come.

iRacing's expertise in track scanning and unmatched physics could be coming to consoles with NASCAR 25. The main sim on PC is known for being about as close as one can get to the real-life driving experience of a NASCAR car without actually strapping into one. A full gameplay reveal is planned for late August, coinciding with Gamescom, where fans can expect to see more of what NASCAR 25 has to offer.

The final image of NASCAR 25 suggests good news is coming soon, and the anticipation among NASCAR fans continues to grow. With iRacing at the helm, NASCAR 25 promises to offer a robust and immersive racing experience that is sure to delight fans of the sport. Stay tuned for more updates as more information about the game, including a precise release date, a full track list, and comprehensive screenshots, is released over the next 6-7 weeks.

PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 5 gamers can look forward to playing NASCAR 25 when it releases later this year. The game will not be available on previous console generations. In anticipation for its release during the NASCAR playoffs, fans can expect updates regarding the roster, gameplay footage, and a full gameplay reveal starting in July 2025. With iRacing's expertise in simulation, NASCAR 25 is poised to offer an authentic NASCAR gaming experience on modern platforms.
