IPOB Alleges Federal Government of Using Fabricated Witness in Nnamdi Kanu's Court Case

In a surprising twist of events, the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has thrown a jab at the Federal Government, claiming they've deployed a "made-up mercenary" as a witness in the ongoing trial of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

This sensational allegation was laid out by IPOB's Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, alleging that the witness, known only as Prosecution Witness BBB (PW-BBB), lacks any genuine ties to the Department of State Services (DSS) and is being coached to pose as an insider.

The group blasts this apparent strange move, labeling it a "shameful turn" in the trial. The statement suggests that PW-BBB's name and testimony were missing from the initial list of prosecution witnesses submitted to the defense, making this a sudden game of "trial by surprise" and a questionable act of prosecutorial misconduct.

The statement further reads, "IPOB strictly condemns the Nigerian government's continued exploitation of legal processes and their deployment of trickery in the ongoing trial of our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

"The latest shocking development is the presentation of an individual identified as Prosecution Witness BBB (PW-BBB), a man who has no affiliation with DSS and has been revealed under cross-examination to be a planted mercenary hired by the government."

IPOB has petitioned the presiding judge, Justice James Omotosho, to acknowledge the misuse of judicial procedures and uphold the courtroom's integrity.

Not only does the group accuse the government of manipulating the judicial system to prolong Nnamdi Kanu's unjust imprisonment, they also point out his solitary confinement, a standard practice by the DSS, as confirmed by independent reports and UK Consular officials who visit him regularly.

IPOB warns the media against becoming instruments of state propaganda, stating that no hired actor can mask these truths.

"This individual is receiving strategic coaching to impersonate an informed insider. In reality, he is wholly unconnected to DSS operations and unqualified to testify with any credibility," the statement emphasizes.

IPOB vows to expose the identity, role, and deception of PW-BBB, urging the international community to hold the Nigerian government accountable for their actions.

The group reiterates its demand for Nnamdi Kanu's unconditional release, stressing that justice must be served in this case.

"The government's attempt to give credibility to the lies of a coached stranger is not only a disservice to justice, but also a slap in the face to the Nigerian judiciary," the statement adds, urging media houses to resist becoming mouthpieces for state propaganda.
