Investigators urge hikers to scrutinize their mobile and camera records, as a tragic double homicide unfolded on a secluded trail within Arkansas State Park. A preliminary sketch of the potential suspect has been unveiled.
In a recent statement, Arkansas State Police Colonel Mike Hagar expressed gratitude to the public and media partners for their support in the ongoing investigation of the double homicide at Devil's Den State Park.
The couple found deceased on a trail in the park on July 26 at 2:40pm were Clinton Brink, 43, and Cristen Brink, 41. The couple had recently moved to Prairie Grove from out of state.
The suspect in this tragic case is described as a white male with a medium build. He was wearing dark pants, a dark ball cap, sunglasses, and a long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up. The suspect also had a black backpack and was wearing fingerless gloves or weightlifting-type gloves.
The suspect was last seen driving toward a park exit in a black, four-door sedan, possibly a Mazda, with the license plate covered by electrical or duct tape. The vehicle may have been traveling on State Highway 170 or State Highway 220 near the park.
Investigators urge anyone with photos or video not to post footage on social media. Anyone with images of the suspect or information about the suspect is asked to contact ASP Troop L at (479) 751-6663.
The park, located at the Western edge of the Ozark Mountains near the border of Oklahoma, is situated in rugged terrain where there is no cell phone service.
The Arkansas State Police is using all available resources to apprehend the suspect. The police department is treating the deaths as a double homicide.
However, there is no mention of any new leads or progress in the investigation, nor any reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Additionally, there is no new composite sketch or photo of the person of interest released by the Arkansas State Police.
The public is asked to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or information to the authorities. The couple's two daughters, aged seven and nine, were unharmed and are now with family members.

- The ongoing investigation into the double homicide at Devil's Den State Park, a general news topic, has been complicated by the lack of cell phone service in the park's rugged terrain and the concealed license plate of the suspect's vehicle, factors that may hamper the politics of information dissemination and the efforts of law enforcement in the war-and-conflicts arena.
- Amidst the escalating crime-and-justice concerns in the state, the Arkansas State Police is urging the public not to post footage related to the Devil's Den State Park double homicide on social media, as it may jeopardize the ongoing investigation, and instead, asked anyone with information or images about the suspect to directly contact ASP Troop L.
